Rite Foods Commits to Sustainability and Clean Energy

Rite Foods Limited presented its 2025 Sustainability Report on Friday, 24th July 2026, in Lagos, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable business practices. The report highlights a reduction of over 5% in greenhouse gas emissions, a 23% improvement in carbon intensity, a 15% increase in water-use efficiency, and a 27% improvement in solid waste management.

Mr. Ekuma Eze, the Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, attributed these achievements to sustained investments in cleaner production processes and resource efficiency.

Rite Foods has transitioned to cleaner energy, with natural gas making up over 93% of its energy mix, while also investing in renewable energy solutions. The company has created approximately 3,000 direct jobs and supported over 12,000 indirect jobs, investing over ₦581.92 million in education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and community development programs.

Eze emphasized that sustainability is a key driver of long-term value creation for Rite Foods, which aligns its sustainability disclosures with internationally recognized reporting frameworks.
