Reuben Declares Rivers Labour Party Not in Rainbow Coalition

Reuben, the former zonal chairman of the Labour Party, asserted that the Rivers Labour Party is not part of the Rainbow Coalition. He criticized the party's current lack of organization, stating that effective politics requires building structures from the polling unit to the state level.

He emphasized that mere statements made in Abuja or on social media do not equate to political success. Reuben noted that many opposition leaders focus too much on popularity rather than grassroots mobilization.

He highlighted the importance of having committed party members at every level to effectively challenge established political structures. He pointed out that the 2023 elections demonstrated the success of coordinated grassroots efforts.

Reuben urged opposition parties, including the African Democratic Congress, Nigeria Democratic Congress, and Allied Peoples Movement, to establish serious structures across local governments and wards to engage with voters and understand community issues.
