Rainbow Coalition Promises No Victimization in Rivers Politics

The Reconciliation Committee of the Rainbow Coalition assured its members that there would be no victimization or discrimination due to past political disagreements. This assurance was made after a meeting with Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara at the Government House in Port Harcourt.

The committee, chaired by Senator Magnus Abe, convened to discuss modalities for achieving peace and reconciliation among previously estranged political leaders. Abe stated that the committee had engaged in several discussions to create a framework for collaboration, emphasizing the importance of unity for the progress of Rivers State.

Publicity Secretary of the APC South-South Zone, Dr. Samuel Nwanosike, expressed gratitude to Governor Fubara for facilitating the meetings, which he deemed successful. He noted that the coalition's success would soon be evident to the people of Rivers State.

Other stakeholders, including Chief Ambrose Nwuzi and governorship candidate Kingsley Ogundu Chinda, reiterated their commitment to peace and reconciliation within the political family.
