Rivers Monarch Praises Fubara for 2026 Budget Presentation

Ez Oha Evo III, the traditional ruler of Evo Kingdom, commended Rivers State Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara for his presentation of the 2026 Appropriation Bill to the Rivers State House of Assembly. Speaking to newsmen at his palace in Woji, located in the Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, the monarch described the budget presentation as a demonstration of statesmanship and commitment to democratic governance.

He urged the Rivers State House of Assembly to foster an atmosphere of peace, mutual respect, and cooperation among all arms of government, which he deemed essential for accelerating development in the state. The governor's budget proposal, presented on a Friday, totals an estimated expenditure of ₦1.854 trillion and is titled "Budget of Resilient Growth and Development." Ez Oha Evo III stressed the need for political actors to prioritize the interests of Rivers State above personal or partisan considerations to ensure political stability and economic growth.
