Residents Gather at Rivers Government House, Await Governor's Return

Residents of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, gathered in large numbers outside the Government House, awaiting the return of Governor Siminalayi Fubara. The crowd started forming early in the morning and continued to wait until late afternoon, causing a traffic jam along the road leading to the Government House.

Security operatives were seen restricting access to the premises. The Federal Capital Territory Minister, Mr.

Nyesom Wike, reassured the public that the governor was ready to resume office following the lifting of the emergency rule imposed on the state. The situation created tension and speculation among the residents, leading to a significant presence of security personnel around the Government House.
