Rivers State Assembly Resumes Sitting After Emergency Rule, Amaewhule Leads Session

The Rivers State Assembly, led by Speaker Hon. Martin Amaewhule, resumed sitting at the Assembly Residential Complex in Port Harcourt.

The assembly reconvened with 27 lawmakers after the expiration of the State Emergency Rule declared by President Bola Tinubu. This move signaled a return to democratic governance in the state.

The lawmakers, who had been residing in the residential complex, gathered for their first sitting following the end of the emergency rule, aiming to address legislative matters and restore normalcy.
