RMAFC Promises Fair Remuneration Review for Officials

The Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a fair remuneration review for political and public office holders in Nigeria. During a meeting with a delegation from the Council of Retired Permanent Secretaries in Abuja, Chairman Dr.

Mohammed Bello Shehu acknowledged the significant contributions of retired permanent secretaries to policy formulation and national development. He stated that the commission has concluded a substantial part of its review concerning the remuneration of these officials and will submit recommendations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for careful consideration.

Maryam Umar Yusuf, speaking on behalf of the council, expressed appreciation for the commission's commitment to addressing issues affecting retired permanent secretaries. The council aims to strengthen collaboration with the RMAFC to improve public service and support ongoing reforms.

Dr. Usman Umar, Director of the Allocation Department, disclosed that consultations are ongoing to review the existing legal framework in line with the commission's recommendations.
