Roberto De Zerbi Leaves Marseille After PSG Humiliation

Roberto De Zerbi has stepped down as the manager of Marseille by mutual consent after a crushing 5-0 defeat by PSG. De Zerbi, who joined Marseille in the summer of 2024 from Brighton, enjoyed a strong debut season with a second-place finish in Ligue 1.

However, Marseille's recent struggles, including a 3-0 loss to Club Brugge in the Champions League, led to his departure. De Zerbi's contract was expected to run until the end of next season, but his early exit was believed to be driven by the heavy defeat to PSG.

Ruben Amorim and Michael Carrick will take charge until the end of the campaign. De Zerbi is reportedly attracting interest from Premier League clubs like Manchester United and Tottenham.
