Cristiano Ronaldo has left the Portugal national team training camp prior to the UEFA Nations League match against Denmark. He announced his decision via social media, stating it followed a press conference by the national team coach, Jorge Jesus, and a conversation with Pedro Proença, the president of the Portuguese Football Federation.

Ronaldo, 41, indicated he would reveal the reasons for his departure at a later time, while wishing success to his teammates. His exit follows a period of uncertainty regarding his role in the squad, as he was benched during Portugal's 2-1 victory over Norway and had been training individually.

Reports suggest his frustration stemmed from limited playing time. Despite this, Jesus downplayed any significant dispute, explaining that Ronaldo was informed of his non-participation due to physical condition and the team's schedule.

He acknowledged the player's potential dissatisfaction after warming up without being used in the match.
