Rookie Kon Knueppel Sets NBA 3-Pointer Record

Rookie Kon Knueppel made history by becoming the fastest player to reach 200 three-pointers in NBA history, accomplishing this feat in just 58 games. The 20-year-old American scored 21 points, including three three-pointers, during the Charlotte Hornets' 131-99 victory over the Chicago Bulls.

This victory marked the Bulls' 10th consecutive defeat, the first time they have experienced such a streak since the 2018-19 season. Knueppel surpassed the previous record holder, Duncan Robinson, by achieving this milestone 11 games earlier.

He is only the second rookie to reach this mark and currently leads the league with 201 three-pointers. Knueppel, who played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils, was drafted as the fourth overall pick by the Hornets in the 2025 draft.

The Hornets' head coach, Charl Lee, praised the team's culture, emphasizing humility and teamwork. Meanwhile, James Harden scored 20 points in the Cleveland Cavaliers' 109-94 win over the New York Knicks.
