Russian Strikes on Kyiv Kill Nine, Injure 28 in Attacks

On Saturday, Russian attacks on Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, killed at least nine people and injured 28 others, including four children, according to local officials. The strikes damaged homes and caused fires across the city.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported multiple explosions and urged residents to stay in shelters. The attacks affected five regions of Kyiv, with the Darnytsky district suffering the most, where seven people were killed and 14 wounded.

In the Solomiansky district, two fatalities and eight injuries were reported, with significant damage to a residential building. Eyewitness accounts described extensive destruction, with one resident, Kateryna Kravchenko, expressing despair over the situation.

The Ukrainian state emergency service reported that 105 people were rescued from impacted areas. This incident is part of an escalation in military actions between Russia and Ukraine, with both sides increasing their attacks in recent months.
