Over 1.7 Million Pilgrims Registered for 2026 Hajj

Saudi Arabia has officially reported that over 1.7 million pilgrims have registered for the 2026 Hajj season. This figure represents an increase compared to the previous year's total of 1,673,230 pilgrims.

The count includes both male and female participants who will partake in the Hajj rites at Makkah, a holy site for Muslims. The annual pilgrimage is a critical event where millions of Muslims gather in Saudi Arabia to perform various religious rituals, including prayers at Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina.

To ensure the safety and welfare of the pilgrims during this significant exercise, Saudi authorities have deployed extensive security, health, and logistical arrangements to manage the movement and well-being of the participants throughout the pilgrimage, which is one of the five pillars of Islam and obligatory for every Muslim who is financially and physically capable of undertaking it at least once in their lifetime.
