This initiative was launched in Abuja and is being implemented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) in collaboration with the Al-Balsam Association for Health Training and Development.
Over the first four days of the campaign, the medical team plans to conduct 75 procedures, consisting of 10 open-heart surgeries and 65 interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. Additionally, the team has performed 13 medical examinations and provided consultations and essential medical services.
The procedures are being carried out at Nizamiye and Zenith hospitals in Abuja, with a team of 10 Saudi volunteers, including specialist doctors, consultants, nurses, technicians, and administrative personnel, working alongside Nigerian healthcare professionals. Yousef bin Mohammed Al-Balawi, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Nigeria, visited the medical team at Zenith Hospital to observe the campaign's activities.
