Saudi Arabia's KSrelief Provides Cardiac Care in Abuja

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has initiated a voluntary medical outreach in Nigeria, focusing on specialized cardiac treatment for indigent patients. This initiative, under the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) in collaboration with the Al-Balsam Association for Health Training and Development, aims to perform 108 procedures, including 28 open-heart surgeries and 80 diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterizations.
In the first four days, the medical team completed 75 procedures, comprising 10 open-heart surgeries and 65 interventional cardiac catheterizations, along with 13 medical examinations. The procedures are being conducted at Nizamiye and Zenith Hospitals in Abuja, with 10 Saudi volunteers, including specialist doctors and nurses, working alongside Nigerian medical professionals.
Yousef bin Mohammed Al-Balawi, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Nigeria, visited the medical team at Zenith Hospital, expressing satisfaction with the care provided. This campaign is part of KSrelief’s broader international medical program aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery in communities with limited access to advanced medical services.
