Kaduna School Feeding Programme Boosts Child Nutrition

The Kaduna State Government has praised its school feeding programme for positively impacting student nutrition, alleviating financial pressure on parents, and enhancing learning outcomes in public boarding schools. Engineer Fauziya Buhari-Ado, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Uba Sani on the School Feeding Programme, made these remarks during a medical outreach organized by the Bantex Memorial Foundation and the Second Chance Humanitarian Aid Foundation in Manchok, Kaura Local Government Area.

The outreach provided free healthcare services to residents, including consultations and treatments for various illnesses. Buhari-Ado noted that five public boarding schools in Kaura are enrolled in the programme, which covers the full cost of feeding and school charges, relieving parents of any financial obligations.

She highlighted improvements in children's health due to the nutritious meals provided during the school term and emphasized the importance of maintaining healthy eating habits during holidays. The outreach event saw significant attendance, reflecting growing public trust in grassroots initiatives.
