Ogun State Police Arrest Separatist Group Members for Breaching Public Peace

The Ogun State Police Command recently apprehended four female and four male leaders of a separatist movement for breaching public peace, unlawful assembly, obstructing traffic, and assaulting police officers. The group, operating under the name Aegi Democratic Republic of Yoruba, unlawfully barricaded roads, set bonfires, and disrupted traffic flow at Temidir Junction Bridge in Sango Otta.

Despite the police intervention, the suspects attacked officers before being dispersed and arrested. The Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, warned against such acts and urged the public to report suspicious activities promptly.
