Ogun Police Arrest 14 Suspected Cultists in Ipara Od Isara Remo

The Ogun State Police Command conducted a successful operation in Ipara Od Isara Remo, resulting in the arrest of 14 suspected cultists. The suspects were apprehended during a covert operation, where three locally made pistols, ammunition, cult initiation tools, and other items were confiscated.

Among the arrested individuals are Solomon Shobamiwo, Farooq Ogunsola, Toheeb Abolad, and Olakemi Habeeb. The Police Command's spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, disclosed that the arrests were made following intelligence reports of a large gathering of cult members planning initiations.

The suspects are undergoing investigation and will be charged accordingly. The Commissioner of Police, Lanr Ogunlowo, condemned cult-related activities and urged youths to shun such criminal associations.

Residents were encouraged to report any suspicious activities to ensure public safety.
