Northern Governors Meet Muslim Intellectuals in Jigawa

A closed-door meeting is currently taking place in Dutse, the capital of Jigawa State, involving seven northern governors, the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, and the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari. The governors present include Umar Namadi of Jigawa, Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano, Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto, Uba Sani of Kaduna, and Dikko Radda of Katsina State.

The meeting convenes Muslim intellectuals from the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory. Details regarding the agenda of the meeting remain undisclosed, as journalists were asked to leave before discussions commenced.
