Nigerian Army Redeploys Senior Officers for Efficiency

Lt Gen Waidi Shaibu, the Chief of Army Staff, has sanctioned the redeployment of senior officers to critical command, operational, and staff positions within the Nigerian Army. This decision aims to bolster operational effectiveness and adapt the leadership structure to the country's changing security landscape.

A statement from Army spokesperson Appolonia Anele detailed the new postings, including Maj Gen I. A.

Ajose, who transitions from the Army Headquarters, Department of Army Operations, to the Theatre Command, Joint Task Force North-East, Operation Hadin Kai, replacing Maj Gen A.E. Abubakar.

Other notable redeployments include Maj Gen A.M. Alechenu and Maj Gen R.T.

Utsaha, among several others. The Chief of Army Staff urged the newly appointed officers to demonstrate exemplary leadership and operational innovation in their roles.
