Fire Destroys Shops and Goods in Abuja Market Blaze

A devastating fire broke out at a market in Abuja around 3 am on Sunday, causing extensive damage to shops and stored building materials. Eyewitness accounts revealed that traders rushed to the scene after receiving distress calls.

One eyewitness reported that his brother-in-law, who owned two shops and a packing store, lost one shop and the packing store to the fire, with only one shop surviving. The total value of roofing materials destroyed in the incident was estimated to exceed N20 million, with some materials having been restocked just a day prior.

Despite the significant financial losses, the eyewitness expressed relief that no lives were lost in the incident. The cause of the fire remains undisclosed.
