ICA Sets New Rules for Singapore Permanent Residents' Re-Entry Permits

Singapore's Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) has announced the full conditions for permanent residents (PRs) to apply for or renew their Re-Entry Permit (REP). Applicants must hold PR status and a valid travel document with at least three months' validity.

Renewals should be submitted online through ICA's e-Service within three months before expiration, with no supporting documents required unless requested by ICA. PRs overseas without a Singpass account can apply through the nearest Singapore Overseas Mission, at least two months before their current REP expires.

PRs must update their REP with new passport details if they obtain a new passport of the same nationality. A fee of S$10 applies for each year of the approved REP, and the validity period starts from the issuance date after payment.

Online applications must complete payment within 14 days of approval, or the application will be withdrawn. The general processing time is within one week, with notifications sent via email to applicants who provided their addresses.
