Singapore Offers Visa-Free Access to 160+ Countries

Singapore's Immigration and Checkpoints Authority has announced that citizens from more than 160 countries can enter the country without a visa for short visits. This policy is structured around a visa-required list that includes only 35 countries, meaning any nation not on this list can enter visa-free.

However, several African nations, including Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mali, Morocco, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, and Tunisia, are on the visa-required list, necessitating that their citizens obtain a visa before traveling to Singapore. For Nigerians, this means that Singapore is currently not an option for visa-free travel.

Nevertheless, there is a 96-hour Visa-Free Transit Facility available for nationals from India, the Commonwealth of Independent States, Georgia, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine, provided they meet certain conditions. Citizens from countries not on the visa-required list, such as those from the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and most ASEAN nations, can enter Singapore without prior visa applications.
