Niniola Apata Announces Death of Husband Michael Ndika

Niniola Apata, a Nigerian afro house singer, publicly announced the death of her husband, Michael Ndika, through an emotional post on her Instagram story on Wednesday. Ndika served as the Chief Executive Officer of Naijareview, a multimedia platform focused on afro house and contemporary African music.

Although the details surrounding his death have not been disclosed, Niniola expressed her sorrow by stating, "God took" her husband, alongside a photo of the couple. She emphasized the length of their marriage, mentioning they had been together for 13 years.

Niniola, 39, gained national attention as a standout contestant on Project Fame West Africa in 2013, which marked her breakthrough in the Nigerian music industry. She has established herself as a leading voice in afro house music, with her 2017 hit single "Maradona" earning international recognition and attracting the attention of global music figures such as DJ Snake, Drake, Timbaland, and Beyoncé.
