Nigeria's National Single Window to Test Phase Two Next Week

The Federal Government will commence user acceptance testing for the second phase of the National Single Window project next week, aimed at streamlining export procedures. Tola Fakolade, the Project Coordinator, announced this at a press briefing in Abuja.
The second phase will centralize the processing of export licenses, permits, and certificates, as well as applications for import duty exemption certificates. The government plans to launch the first batch of agencies under this phase by the end of the year.
The project team has completed initial reviews and developed streamlined procedures. The testing will allow participating agencies and users to provide feedback for improvements.
The National Single Window, inaugurated by President Bola Tinubu on 16 April, 2024, aims to simplify trade processes and enhance Nigeria's position as a regional trading hub. Since its first phase went live on 27 March, 2026, the platform has processed 156,026 import licenses and permits, registering 12,112 importers and agents with a 99.98 percent uptime.
