SFH Launches Skills Programme for Vulnerable Youth in Kaduna

The Group Chief Executive Officer of SFH, Dr. Omokhude Idogho, inaugurated a three-month skills acquisition programme for 65 vulnerable women, adolescents, and young people in Kaduna State. This initiative, organized by the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in collaboration with SFH and supported by ViiV Healthcare Positive Action, aims to link economic empowerment with improved health outcomes.

Dr. Aisha Dadi, representing Idogho, stated that skills acquisition is a vital public health intervention that fosters resilience and hope. The beneficiaries, selected from the three senatorial zones of Kaduna State, will receive intensive practical training at various centers.

Mr. Ambianto Francis, representing NDE, highlighted the global challenge of unemployment and the need for innovative solutions. He encouraged participants to respect their trainers and acquire knowledge for establishing businesses.

Zainab Shehu, representing the Kaduna State Commissioner for Health, praised the initiative for empowering women and young people, emphasizing the importance of practical skills for confidence and self-reliance.
