Sokoto's Armoured Vehicles Cut Bandit Attacks, Says LG Chair

Alhaji Hashimu Dantudu, the Chairman of Sabon Birni Local Government Area in Sokoto State, reported a significant improvement in the security situation following the deployment of armoured vehicles procured by the state government. During a visit by a state government delegation led by All Progressives Congress leader Aliyu Wamakko to Tsamaye Village, Dantudu stated that the presence of security personnel has increased and that cases of bandit attacks have reduced tremendously since the vehicles were deployed.

He commended Governor Ahmed Aliyu for this initiative, describing it as a major boost in combating banditry in the state. Dantudu expressed optimism that the state government's commitment to strengthening security would ultimately end banditry.

He assured the government of the council's continued support for security agencies in their fight against criminal activities. The state government recently procured 62 armoured vehicles and 2,000 motorcycles to enhance operations against bandits and other criminals.
