Sokoto First Lady Calls for Prayers to Combat Insecurity

Hajiya Fatima Ahmed Aliyu, the Wife of the Sokoto State Governor, urged residents to intensify prayers for an end to insecurity and to restore peace in Sokoto State. During her visit to Wurno and Rabah local government areas, she flagged off the distribution of relief items and financial assistance to women displaced by insecurity.

Hajiya Fatima emphasized the importance of community support and unity, reassuring affected families of the government's commitment to assist them. She distributed 250 bags of rice, 200 pieces of atamfa, 50 cartons of spaghetti, and ₦3 million in both local government areas.

Hajiya Fatima called for collective prayers and cooperation among government, traditional leaders, and community members to address insecurity challenges. She also prayed for divine guidance for leaders and lasting solutions to the issues facing Sokoto State and Nigeria.

Hajiya Hadiza Ahmed Shagari, the Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, commended the government's efforts to support vulnerable women and children.
