IGP Disu Condoles Families of Fallen Policemen in Kebbi

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, extended his condolences to the families of 10 policemen who were killed while on combat duty in Kebbi State. On Wednesday, he dispatched a high-powered delegation led by Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of operations, Umar Shehu Nadada, to Birnin Kebbi to deliver heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the government, and the people of Kebbi State.

During a courtesy visit to Governor Nasir Idris at the Government House, DIG Nadada informed the governor that the delegation was sent on the IG's instructions due to the tragic incident. He emphasized that the police are committed to protecting lives and property, despite facing challenges.

Additionally, he announced that the IG has approved the establishment of an additional Squadron for Kebbi, which will commence operations soon, and that the Force Headquarters is strengthening other units, particularly Tactical Teams.
