Free Solar Installation Training by Nigerian Government

The Federal Government of Nigeria has opened applications for a free three-week Solar Photovoltaic Installation Training programme aimed at professionals, technicians, graduates, and young Nigerians interested in renewable energy careers. This initiative, implemented in collaboration with Siemens Energy and the German development agency GIZ under the Siemens Energy Education and Development project (SEED), seeks to equip participants with practical and technical skills in solar photovoltaic installation.

The programme is open to a diverse range of applicants, including those without formal educational qualifications or previous experience. Training will combine classroom lessons with practical sessions and technical site visits, concluding with competency assessments.

Successful participants will receive certification from the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). The training will take place in Lagos and Abeokuta, Ogun State, and applicants must attend physically for the entire duration.
