Joint Task Force Operation Whirl Stroke Eliminates Bandits

On Saturday, troops from Sector 3 of the Joint Task Force Operation Whirl Stroke conducted an intelligence-led ambush along the Adankolo–Apata Road in Kogi State, resulting in the deaths of two suspected bandits. The operation was initiated based on credible intelligence regarding the movement of suspected criminals in the Kabba-Bunu and Lokoja Local Government Areas.
The troops set up an ambush on a suspected supply route, engaged with the group, and forced them to flee. Following the ambush, a follow-up search led to the recovery of the bodies of the two suspected bandits in the Adankolo Forest area.
Recovered items included one locally made pistol, one cartridge, and one empty 7.62mm special ammunition case. Major General Moses Gara, the Force Commander of Operation Whirl Stroke and General Officer Commanding 5 Division, commended the troops for their success and encouraged the public to continue providing timely information to security agencies.
