VeryDarkMan Defends NBA Invitation Against Falana's Critique

Controversial social media activist Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has responded to criticism from human rights lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, regarding his invitation to speak at the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) conference. Falana criticized the NBA's decision, stating that speakers should have relevant expertise or experience in their fields, particularly for discussions on national security.

He expressed concern that the NBA's conferences were becoming less intellectually rigorous. In a video response, Otse described Falana's remarks as indicative of "classism," asserting that his background should not disqualify him from speaking at the conference.

He emphasized that his personal experiences with insecurity provide him with valuable insights, arguing that security issues affect everyone and should be addressed by diverse voices. Otse expressed disappointment in Falana's stance, stating he did not expect such criticism from a figure of Falana's stature.
