VDM's Speech at NBA Conference Sparks Controversy

VeryDarkMan (VDM) participated as a panelist at the Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, where he addressed the theme of insecurity in Nigeria. His invitation to speak generated mixed reactions, with some questioning the appropriateness of a social media activist addressing senior lawyers, while others appreciated his influence.

VDM, identifying himself as an online police, attributed the root of insecurity to politics and linked cattle roaming to government-backed money laundering. He raised concerns about the numerous checkpoints along the Abuja-Lokoja route, suggesting police may identify motorists who could pay ransoms.
