Nwifuru Seeks People's Endorsement for 2027 Election

Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru expressed his desire for the people of Ebonyi to endorse him for a second term in the 2027 governorship election, rather than seeking endorsements from other political parties. Nwifuru made this statement on Saturday after voting in the local government elections at his hometown, Oferekpe Agbaja, in Izzi Local Government Area.

He expressed confidence in his re-election prospects due to his acceptance among the populace and the development initiatives undertaken by his administration. As the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State, he acknowledged that other political parties would field candidates in the upcoming elections, viewing opponents as beneficial for identifying government weaknesses.

Nwifuru attributed the peaceful conduct of the local elections to the fair competition allowed by the APC and expressed confidence in the party's candidates. He reiterated that he seeks the people's endorsement, asserting that his administration has been working for their benefit.
