Sowore Arrives in Court After Arrest Warrant Issued

Omoyele Sowore arrived in court after a bench warrant was issued for his arrest due to his failure to appear for trial. Justice Mohammed Umar revoked the bail granted to Sowore on June 16, following an oral application made by his lawyer, Akinkolu Kehinde SAN, who cited that Sowore had departed the state.

The Department of State Services (DSS) is prosecuting Sowore for allegedly making false claims against President Bola Tinubu, which were referenced in a criminal post made on his Facebook account. The court proceedings had not yet commenced at the time of the report.
