Dikko, Shaibu, Yobo Join Tinubu's 2027 Campaign Council

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Shehu Dikko, Philip Shaibu, and Joseph Yobo to significant roles in President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, specifically within the Sport Sector Mobilisation directorate. Shehu Dikko, Chairman of the National Sports Commission, has been named Director of Sport Sector Mobilisation, responsible for engaging with athletes, sports administrators, and other stakeholders to garner support for Tinubu and the APC.

Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State and current Director General of the National Institute for Sports, will serve as Deputy Director, Sport Sector Mobilisation I, assisting Dikko in coordinating efforts across the sporting community. Joseph Yobo, a former captain of the Super Eagles, has been appointed Deputy Director, Sport Sector Mobilisation II, leveraging his football career to connect with current and former athletes.

President Tinubu will chair the council, with Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda as Vice Chairmen. Abdulaziz Yari is the Director General, and Hope Uzodimma serves as Secretary.
