Tinubu Heads 108-Member Campaign Council for 2027

President Bola Tinubu has been appointed as the chairman of a newly formed 108-member campaign council for his re-election, with Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda serving as vice chairmen. The announcement was made by Bayo Onanuga, the presidential spokesperson, on Saturday.

Ajibola Basiru, the national secretary of the APC, will act as deputy secretary, while Hadiza Bala-Usman will serve as assistant secretary. The council includes a body of advisers such as Chief Bisi Akande, Chief Segun Osoba, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, and Senator Florence Ita Giwa.

Key appointments also feature Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker Tajudeen Abass, and Governor Mai Mala Buni as deputy director-generals. Adams Oshiomhole will oversee mobilization, and Femi Gbajabiamila will manage administration.

James Faleke retains his role for election planning. Tinubu urged council members to engage other party members in the campaign and emphasized the administration's achievements in economic progress.
