Tottenham Hotspur Signs Savinho from Man City for £75M

Tottenham Hotspur signed Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City on Tuesday for a reported initial fee of £75 million ($102 million), bringing their total transfer spending this window to over £300 million. The 22-year-old had difficulty securing a first-team position during his two seasons at Manchester City, where he made 84 appearances and scored seven goals.

Spurs are looking to bolster their attack after narrowly avoiding relegation from the Premier League last season. Savinho expressed his excitement about joining Spurs, stating that after speaking with head coach Roberto De Zerbi, he felt compelled to make the move.

De Zerbi praised Savinho for his energy, creativity, and ability to impact games. Manchester City could receive an additional £10 million in performance-related add-ons.

Savinho previously joined City from Troyes for £30 million in 2024 and had a successful loan at Girona, but has struggled to replicate that form in England.
