FCTA Addresses 10 of 14 Demands Amid Worker Strike in Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has met 10 out of 14 demands presented by striking workers, resulting in the partial resolution of ongoing issues. The strike, initiated by the Joint Union Action Congress (JUAC), led to the shutdown of government activities in Abuja.

Despite efforts to resolve the situation, four demands, including outstanding promotions and pension contributions, remain unaddressed. The strike was a result of the administration's alleged failure to meet long-standing labor welfare issues.

The workers' union raised concerns about unresolved issues, such as pension remittances and promotion delays.
