Peter Obi Calls Fuel Subsidy Organized Crime in Nigeria

Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, asserted in an interview with Trust TV that the fuel subsidy in Nigeria constitutes organized crime. He emphasized his refusal to tolerate any form of corruption during his presidency, highlighting the distortion of data regarding fuel consumption in the country.

Obi stressed the importance of empirical evidence to support claims about fuel usage. Meanwhile, Ben Nwoy, the Deputy National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State, expressed readiness to address the issues surrounding the electoral system during his appearance on Channels Television.

Nwoy acknowledged the significant impact of the last elections and the need for reform, although his comments were not directly related to Obi's statements on fuel subsidy.
