Nasarawa Governor Sule Praises Subsidy Removal Impact

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State announced that the removal of fuel subsidy has positively impacted the state's revenue, enabling his administration to undertake significant projects. He made this statement in Lafia while receiving the Renewed Hope Ambassadors National Media Tour, led by Mr.

Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy. Governor Sule commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his bold economic reforms, noting that federal allocations have increased, providing more fiscal space for the state.

He revealed that during his first four years, Nasarawa State received between ₦590 billion and ₦620 billion monthly, compared to ₦3.8 to ₦4.5 billion prior to the reforms. While acknowledging initial challenges from the subsidy removal, he praised President Tinubu for his political courage in making tough decisions for the country's benefit.

Sule emphasized the need for effective communication to help citizens understand the rationale behind such reforms, which are intended to strengthen the economy and improve public service delivery.
