Rotary District 9141 Provides Free Medical Care in Bayelsa

The Rotary District 9141, which includes Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Akwa Ibom states, provided free medical services, food, and clothing to the residents of Gbarantoru community in Yenagoa Local Government Area, Bayelsa State. Hundreds of vulnerable individuals, including the elderly, women, youths, and children, attended the event to receive medical check-ups, diagnosis, medications, and essential items.

Chinedu Ikegwuani, the immediate past District Governor of District 9141, stated that the initiative aims to support over 300 vulnerable residents and aligns with Rotary International’s mission to positively impact lives. Dr.

Nsikat Ntia, a senior Rotarian overseeing the medical aspect, noted that services were offered to individuals of all ages. Ifeoma Wabara, the assistant Governor for Rotary District 9141, emphasized the importance of giving back to society, stating that witnessing the joy of recipients brings fulfillment to volunteers.

The project reflects Rotary's commitment to service and addressing the needs of rural communities.
