Hoodlums Steal PVCs at Osun State Distribution Center

On Sunday, at Oyinlola DC Primary School in Okuku, Osun State, a group of suspected hoodlums disrupted the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Witnesses reported that the attackers, numbering around eight to ten, entered the premises unnoticed and fired shots into the air, causing panic among those present.

A local resident, identified as Gbadebo, recounted that the hoodlums targeted the area where INEC officials were distributing PVCs and made off with three packs of the cards. The Osun State Police Command, represented by spokesperson Abiodun Ojelabi, confirmed the incident and stated that Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Gotan condemned the attack.

He directed a comprehensive investigation to identify, arrest, and prosecute those responsible, emphasizing the command's commitment to professionalism and the rule of law. The police urged the public to remain calm and report any credible information regarding the incident.
