Tafawa Balewa Communities Begin Repair Of Neglected Road

Residents of Tafawa Balewa communities in Bauchi State have taken matters into their own hands by beginning the repair of a neglected government road that links their area to Doka in Dass local government. The road, particularly problematic during the rainy season, had become almost impassable, prompting residents to manually repair it using locally sourced materials.

The initiative, led by Malam Hussaini Adamu, involved communal labor from residents of Unguwar Madaki, Yala, Wuro Jiban, and Tamajira, who worked for seven days to improve the road. The community members expressed their frustration at the lack of government support and emphasized the economic hardships caused by the poor road conditions, especially for farmers.

Despite previous appeals to the Tafawa Balewa Local Government Council, residents are determined to continue their efforts and have called on both local and state governments to urgently intervene and provide a lasting solution to the road challenges.
