Bauchi State Constructs Alternative Link Road to Connect North-East and North-West; Mitigates Flood Impact.

The Bauchi State Government is constructing an alternative link road to connect the North-East and North-West regions, aiming to mitigate the impact of floods and enhance connectivity. The road, being built within the state, is a response to the devastating floods that washed away a major highway bridge.

The project, led by Habibu Engineering Company, is 90% completed despite facing challenges due to the swampy terrain. The road stretches over five kilometers and includes three major bridges and a retaining wall.

Once completed, the road will serve as an alternative route, linking the Itas Gadau community and improving transportation in the region.
