Tambuwal, Dasuki Urge Federal Government for Security Boost

Former Sokoto State Governor and Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, alongside Abdussamad Dasuki, the member representing Kebbe/Tambuwal Federal Constituency, called on the Federal Government to urgently bolster security measures in Sokoto State. This appeal was made during a meeting with Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (retd.), where they discussed the worsening security situation in Kebbe Local Government Area and Kaya community in Tambuwal Local Government Area.

Tambuwal stated that the delegation presented residents' concerns and requested increased deployment of security personnel, additional operational equipment, and sustained military action to protect lives and property. He emphasized that the current security challenges have instilled fear among residents, disrupting their farming and economic activities.

The Defence Minister assured the delegation of the government's commitment to addressing insecurity and promised additional resources for security agencies. However, Tambuwal insisted that these assurances must translate into immediate action on the ground to restore peace and security.
