Tambuwal, Dasuki Urge Defence Minister for Security Boost

On Thursday, former Sokoto State Governor and Senator Aminu Tambuwal, accompanied by Abdussamad Dasuki, the Deputy Minority Leader in the House of Representatives, met with Minister of Defence Gen. Christopher Musa (retd.) to discuss the deteriorating security situation in Sokoto State. The meeting focused on the insecurity in Kebbe Local Government Area and Kaya community in Tambuwal LGA, where residents have faced persistent attacks.

Tambuwal conveyed the urgent need for stronger federal intervention and additional security resources to protect communities and restore confidence among residents. He emphasized the necessity for security agencies to intensify operations in affected areas, allowing residents to safely return to their daily activities.

Gen. Musa assured the delegation of the Federal Government's commitment to addressing these challenges and pledged additional resources for ongoing security operations. Tambuwal welcomed these assurances but stressed the importance of translating commitments into immediate action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the communities.
