Soldiers Rescue Kidnap Victim, Foil Attack in Kaduna

Troops of the Joint Task Force North-West, under Operation FANSAN YAMMA, successfully rescued a 43-year-old man who had been kidnapped near Awon Community in Kachia Local Government Area, Kaduna State, on Thursday. The rescue operation was initiated following a distress call, leading to the swift response of the troops, who forced the terrorists to abandon their captive and flee into nearby bushes.

The rescued individual was later reunited with his family. In a separate operation on Friday, troops from Sector 2, in collaboration with local security personnel, foiled a terrorist attack on Kwaren Gamba Village in Sabon Birni Local Government Area, Sokoto State.

The troops engaged the terrorists, compelling them to withdraw, during which one terrorist was neutralized. The operation also resulted in the recovery of two mobile phones, cash, an ATM card, and recharge cards.

Lt. Col. Aliyu Danja, the Media Information Officer of the Joint Task Force, emphasized the military's ongoing efforts to deny terrorists freedom of action and assured the public of continued decisive responses to security threats.
