Nigerian Tanker Drivers Dismiss False Claims Against PTD and NUPENG

Tanker drivers across Nigeria expressed confidence in the leadership of the Petroleum Tanker Drivers (PTD) and NUPENG, dismissing claims by a faceless group called PTD Elders Forum. The group alleged that the recognized leadership was disseminating falsehoods.

NUPENG leaders, Williams Akporeha and Afolabi Olawale, denounced the accusations as attempts to sow discord within the tanker drivers' ranks. Comrade Augustine Egbon, the National Chairman, emphasized the legitimacy of the current leadership elected in 2024.

Drivers from Kaduna, Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Warri Zones disowned the PTD Elders Forum, labeling them as fraudulent individuals posing as tanker drivers.
