Tansian University Leadership Crisis: Rev. Igwilo Removed

Tansian University, a private Christian institution founded in 2007 in Umunya, Anambra State, Nigeria, is currently facing a leadership crisis. The Vice Chancellor, Prof.

Eugen O. Nwadialor, issued a public notice announcing the removal of Rev.

Daniel Igwilo from his position as registrar, effective June 3, 2025, due to allegations of gross misconduct and financial misappropriation. The notice indicates that the university dissociates itself from any transactions undertaken by Rev.

Igwilo from that date onward. The university has warned the public to refrain from engaging with him regarding university matters, stating that it will not be liable for any consequences arising from such dealings.

This crisis follows a series of disputes over leadership and ownership, which have been ongoing and have reportedly involved allegations of forgery and illegal appointments. Tansian University aims to maintain its commitment to academic excellence and integrity amidst these challenges.
