Tanzania Unveils Major Rare Earth Deposits in Njombe

Tanzania has made a significant discovery of rare earth deposits in the Njombe region, primarily consisting of neodymium and praseodymium, which are among the most valuable strategic minerals due to their increasing demand in modern technologies such as electric vehicles, wind turbines, and renewable energy systems. Luca Mlekwa, an engineer at the mining office, announced that this discovery positions Tanzania as an emerging producer of critical minerals in East Africa, accelerating its transition towards clean energy and advanced technology.

Ltd. has completed the first phase of exploration, which involves a detailed assessment of a 280 square kilometer project area, with plans for commercial production. Additionally, the Njombe project is located near the internationally recognized Ngualla rare earth project in the Songw region, considered one of the largest undeveloped rare earth deposits in the world.
